Since 2008, La Strada festival has been making the historic centre of Brescia an open window to contemporary circus, dance, music and urban theatre. Every year, artists coming from all over the world at the beginning of the summer transform the main city streets and squares into perfect open air stages.
In 2020 and 2021, facing the impossibility of realising La Strada Festival in its original form due to the pandemic, Circuito CLAPS decided to give a sign of presence – respecting anti-Covid regulations. Thus, here is La Strada Short, taking place in the beautiful setting of Broletto palace in Brescia.
La Strada Short is organised by Circuito CLAPS, in collaboration with the Municipality of Brescia and with the support of MiC, Regione Lombardia, Fondazione Cariplo and – for Catalonia – Institut Ramon Llull. The festival is part of SummerCLAPS project.
The format La Strada Short is proposed again in 2022 with original and surprising contemporary circus performances ranging from clowning to acrobatics, from visual comedy to music, from juggling to balancing., suitable for a heterogeneous audience: from adults to children, from young people to the elder ones, from residents to tourists, from Italians to foreigners…
